Tailor-made programmes

Tailor-made short-term study abroad programmes for partner institutions

The University of Tartu Lifelong Learning Centre has extensive experience in organising tailor-made programmes in various subject fields, including interdisciplinary areas, for our long-term partners in America, Asia, and Europe.

The University of Tartu designs certificate programmes and continuing courses in a variety of flexible formats: training courses, seminars, study visits, lecture series, and summer and winter university programmes. Studies take place in different locations around Estonia: mainly in Tartu, Tallinn and university college towns such as Narva, Pärnu and Viljandi.

Professional trainers and lecturers of the University of Tartu, as well as experts from the public and private sectors, are involved in course development to provide lifelong learners with knowledge and innovative solutions as well as ways to apply them at work.

For example, Lifelong Learning Centre has organised customised programmes for San Diego State University, USA ("Russia and Estonia in the European Dimension", "Health Care and Human Services in Estonia"), Hokkaido University and Gakushuin University, Japan ("English Language and Baltic Culture Programme in Estonia") and Parul University, India ("Summer University Program in Medicine and Physiotherapy").

In addition, Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies (f.e. Political Studies, International Relations, Democracy and Governance related subjects), Narva College (Russian language courses) and Institute of Estonian and General Linguistics (Estonian Language in Cultural Context) offer various tailor-made programmes for their long term partner institutions.
